Missing days, doodles, and music.

So I apparently forgot that yesterday existed. haha. I had work all day then had to finish up a paper before class. After class I was so tired all I did was eat dinner and go to sleep. This blog didn't even cross my mind. So I'm just going to post two talks today to make up for it. Since this challenge is coming to an end pretty soon I'm starting to think about the next challenge. I'm not quite sure what it's going to be but I'm thinking about something that won't take up as much time. Between the end of the semester projects and assignments I have, as well as having work now (~35 hours per week). So I'm trying to think of something that can take up only a few minutes each day, and perhaps something that I can blog about from my phone. I almost might take a few days off in between challenges. We'll see how it goes.

30-Day Challenge #1: TED Talks
Days 24 & 25

I'll let you just figure these out on your own. The first is by Sunni Brown about doodling and how it can help us. I was thinking about this last night in class when I was doodling while we had a guest speaker. I was fully paying attention, but it didn't look that way to others.

Now this next one is a bit different. It's not quite a talk. Apparently when you're on the TED website and click the link to see talks that are labeled as 'beautiful' the results will mostly be musical performances. Not your typical TED talk, and not really a talk. But still worth watching. So here's a video of Imogen Heap performing "Wait It Out". Hope you enjoy.

Dont wait to be a hero.

Hey there! So today has been a great day for me. It was my first day off from work since I started. So it was a very relaxing day. I watched some movies and did some schoolwork. I also got a fantastic piece of mail. Some time last month I had won a contest to win a signed copy of Rocco Dispirito's book Now Eat This. I'm a huge fan of Rocco so I was super excited to get this today. I've been hoping for it every day I check my mail and today I just got this feeling that I would get it. I felt that way mostly because there were so many things keeping me from my mail. First when I went to check my mail the postal worker had just gotten there (later than usual) so I couldn't check yet. Then I tried again and the maintenance crew was leaf blowing all around the mail boxes and I didn't want to get all that dust blown into my eyes. So I was finally able to check my mail right before I had class and I was so excited that it was in there! All I had tonight was class and then I made a delicious dinner.

I finished dinner and was going to come online and blog, but my Internet hates me and isn't working. So I'm blogging from my phone right now. So I do have a talk for today, but can embed it. Also since I got it from the TED app I can't even give you a link to it. So tomorrow I will have to get on here and edit this. But I'll tell you a little about the talk.

Day 24?

The talk I found today is by Mark Bezos about what he has learned from being a volunteer firefighter. He gives a quick little story about a fire he was at and the task he was given. The moral of his story is that if you have something to give then you should give and not wait.
