Wasteland

Wasteland reminds me of a song called "Wasteland" that is on the soundtrack to the movie She's the Man. It's one of my favorite movies to watch. Jeana and I watch it together all the time. We just watched it last week before we finished finals and graduated. We know the whole thing word by word so us watching it is really just us reciting it while watching it.

I miss everyone from school already. It was very sad to say goodbye to everyone. I know I'll see them all again sometime though. The hardest part is just not knowing when I'll see them again. On a good note though, I'll be seeing Josh and Cali tomorrow! I'm excited for that. And I just found out that Lego Pirates of the Caribbean comes out this month which Cali will be so excited about. I know I'm excited. haha

I'm happy to be home though. It's been nice to see my family and spend some time with them. Plus, the Finch has returned to the Coop which I'm super happy about. It's been so long and we've had so much to catch up on.

I start work on Wednesday I think, back at the good ol' Merritt Canteen, which I seem to hardly recognize anymore. It's changed so much there. I'm real glad that I have a job to go back to but I've really been ready to move on for a while now. I am otherwise unemployed, but I'm hoping that will change very soon.

I sent my resume to the Chatham Shellfish Company last night and heard back from them today. They're going to let me know by the end of the weekend or early next week if I have the job. It's a seasonal position for the summer. I really wouldn't mind spending the summer in the Cape. Don't even care that all the money I make would probably just go to paying rent. It's well worth it for a job I'll enjoy and a summer in the Cape. So we'll see. I'm not getting my hopes up because I'm really used to rejection at this point. I'll just wait and see what happens.
